So while we took a break, a family stopped to ask about our old bikes.

Talking with Ramon, the elderly gentleman, I encouraged him to take our bike for a ride, and so he did.

IMG_0555.jpg

To see a smile on his face just gives me joy. I'm always encouraging other to ride our bikes. It's just fun.

During the SF ride a few of us switched bikes. Before the ride began from Red's Java, Gary asked if he could ride our '36 CWC roadster. Mel @Mel_e_Mel and I switched bikes as we left The Warming Hut.

Being a bike mechanic for many years, all of Gary Quail's bikes typically ride really nice. But he claims that this '51 B6 with a front springer riding on Felt's Retro Runner tires is his best riding bike in his collection. What a sweet riding bike she is.

At the SF ride, Mel @Mel_e_Mel and I were riding '36 CWC DBRs. We switched during the last leg of our ride.

Gary wanted to ride our roadster again, so now Mel is riding Gary's '51 B6

I have a good feeling that Gary's next bike will be a DBR.

Eddie @Eddie_Boy and I after switching bikes at the SF Rolling Relics Ride.
Awesome riding bike, even with old tires. Also got a quick snap of Gary (the birthday boy) while I was riding his ‘51 B6. What an awesome bike as well.
Thanks Eddie and Gary! Always fun to see what you guys bring next whenever we meet up.

Waiting at the Co-Op while my wife was shopping, a gentleman approached on his bike with a bike trailer. Had a pretty nice bikepacking rig setup. You can tell when someone is excited to see something cool, and he was definitely . I of course offered him to take her for spin, and so he did.

That's Ryan on our '36 CWC DBR. C'mon, look at that face; that's what these old bike do. He was so thankful for letting him ride this old bike.

Love to see the public's reaction when they see our old relics.
