The truss rod arrangement looks 1940 Huffman to me.

I'm looking at the bars which don't look Huffman, Schwinn, Shelby, Monark. Colson, or Manton Smith to me. This leaves me with CWC, Elgin, Mercury, or Murray.I doubt the resolution of that photo is god enough to see the badge but that would certainly help. V/r Shawn

I don't think you can say Manton & Smith would not have used those bars. Their parts spec seems pretty "whatever" from what I've seen. No one else had a tank with that front profile that I can think of. The round Columbia and Huffman tanks are a little less "squished" than these M&S tanks.
