I did get to talk to the owner his dad bought the bike for him in 1953 he said when he stopped riding it his father loaned it to his cousins they put some dents and dings in it but it still looked good. He was looking for some parts for the rack light and a horn. Beautiful bike.
I literately was 10 seconds late to buy it from the original seller I was reaching for the tag hanging from the handlebars and another guy rode up and asked how much, the seller said, $75 which was what was on the tag I was holding in my hand but the guy on the bike asked first. He had a spot right behind the seller and when he parked it I asked him if he wanted to sell it he said $100 I said OK so 10 seconds cost me $25 and he had the Raleigh chain guard I have been looking for so it worked out great for both of us.
