On Training Wheels
Hi all, My aunt purchased this tricycle in the 1960’s and it was old then. I can’t find any markings. It is in great condition and everything appears to be original. The original color seems to have been red. The seat and handlebars are wooden. Any information on age, maker, and value would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide!

Late teens to 20’s toddler trike
Strap frames are difficult to identify
100% looks all original to me ( paint and parts )
Lot of times markings were on the seat or paint( ink ) stamped on frame
Could be a Gendron with rear crossbrace.
Cool find.
Good luck with identifying

I agree with Mark on the possible age. This style of tot trike was made over several years, but the wood hand grips, design of handle bar attachment, and metal pedals put it at the earlier end of the period they were made.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I sincerely appreciate it. Any idea on value, or what I should price it at?

About the only information on pricing I could tell you is from a collector book entitled "Riding Toys", published in 1992. The oldest photo they have of tot trikes similar to this one dates to 1929 and they put a reference value of $100+ on them. Of course, it always depends on original condition and how desirable that particular model is with collectors. Yours appears to be about 10 years older, which also could be factored in.
