Please help me date this Western Flyer

Looks to be mostly original, except for the seat. Any help is greatly appreciated. Needs some work but rides great. Serial number H88352

My bike looks a lot like yours and it had a date stamped on the back of the fork... check there

Thank you both, working on servicing now . I'll check the fork,and see if the crank is dated also. @elwood and @Adamtinkerer
I'll go with '48 for now.

One thing I do notice different on yours is it has an incoporated top kickstand plate. Anyone know when this came into effect?
