Howdy folks-

Here's a teens/20s saddle that I’d love to identify. Looks like an early precursor to the Messinger Tornado, so maybe Messinger? Looks very similar to the Scout saddle in this post...

Although it's on my Great Western Crown now, I picked this up by it's crusty lonesome, at Copake, a few years ago. No clue as to what it came off of. Where your chassis is bolted to the bottom of the front spring looks a little miss matched IMHO.

I thought the same thing at first, but the more I look at it, the more I think it’s maybe not modified. The spring is made to adjust forward and back on both the pan and the chassis. It’s in the back position now which makes it look a little funky.
