Pre/ Post War Bikes

When someone is dating a bike by Pre or Post War which War, 1 or 2? Heck it could even be the Viet Nam War, to me that was a War and not a conflict.

In bicycle collecting it means WW2. It is just a fact you have to live with. There are a lot of things in the automotive/bicycle hobbies that are standard interpertations. That is just one of many. Roger

Ok as we know it was a world war where we as Americans utilized all the resources we had on had in this great country of ours all metals we could find rite down to the last silver spoon were used special stamps for our food n bread we purchased in a certain way. Soooooooo when the war was over yr 1945, to restart the economy we completely retool our factories back to making home goods and things we want to buy making new esigns to lure people to spend money that's the pre /post scenario.
