Have owned this for over a year and it's really not for my collection which is mostly lightweight English-style. I acquired it from a woman who remembers it hanging in her father's garage since 1961.
1932? 28" Comet by Progressive Cycle Co. NY, NY. Number stamped on bottom bracket shell: J59775 may indicate Westfield built.
Made-in-USA "Highway Master" chain-tread tires with threaded Schrader valves. They're hard, but round as I display it with a front stand off the floor.
Clad rims with butted spokes. Beautiful Troxel leather saddle with "Troxel" imprints still visible on saddle horn. Mis-matched pedals, one grip, not sure of originality of those.
Sold!
