Pre war CWC DBR Tank bikes thread

I'm starting a thread dedicated to the seldom seen hanging tank Cleveland Welding built DBRs
"Double Bar Frame-Tank model " as called in this Hawthorne ad

These models don't have much literature , and were never known to be seen in a Roadmaster catalog.
Post up any examples you know, or any ads or catalog pics.
Please keep this thread dedicated to only this model,

I'll start with this 1938 Roadmaster. Previously owned by @CWCMAN , as well as other CABE members, I am it's current caretaker .

The 2 in the picture are Cleveland Welding built

Here is a 1937 Hawthorne pictured with it's sister , the 2 are separated by about 1500 units on serial numbers

Another example am am fortunate to have under my care, a 1938 Pacemaker badged with factory locking fork. This C serial number bike has round fenders, usually seen on 1936 models

The yellow one was mine for a while after Eddie and several other members. I sold it to another Caber who had it for a while before turning it over to Mr Dogdart lol. Very nice bike, sadly can't keep them all!

My example below. I've owned this one for over 35 years. The tank graphics are hand painted and not a decal like most. Serial number is D20005
