Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Well used survivor Pre WW2 24" slope style drop center wheelset with regular mens hub combo ND D/W and 36 hole spoke count! These were off a Snyder built Hawthorne boys bike but are also correct for any other number of other like period bicycles. A difficult profile to find sets in anymore.
I've checked both wheels on the stand and there is no indication on curb hits or impacts at low pressure thankfully. The spokes are all present but corroded and some are loose. The rims have a moderate amount of runout because of this but should respond well to truing. Hubs are nice early style but are worn and covered with crust. The rims seem to be ousepainted silver. i wire brushed the inside and I would characterize this a light to medium surface corrosion, that should not affect the integrity of the rims. I am pretty picky and will reject stuff if it has heavy pitting.
