Prewar Autocycle maybe?

Serial number is S14026 comes up as a 1955, but there's some characteristics that throw me off. Which makes me think it's pre-war.

Wes is almost always wrong about the year, fyi.

Prewar for sure but looks like a parts bike that’s been repainted. Post up a picture of the serial, that may help date the frame a bit more accurately.

It's not mine was looking at it for a buddy, I don't think he really believes me and how expensive this would be to get back to original. Only thing I have to tell you right now is the serial number is on the bottom bracket shell.
