Prewar kickstand wear

been there, done that. The next problem was that the the way stand attaches to the bottom tubes. I am not able to keep it from changing its position or rather it doesn't lock to. bottom tubes. If you could have a tab that is secured to base and positions itself securely between the tubes. Again I restored the worn out ruts + rebent the leg and the foot etc.Replaced the bolt that was bent greased the part to restore the slide but I aint trusting it to hold up any prewar Schwinn's.

Easy enough to fill in that groove by welding & a little grinding, a little filing ( squaring off ) on the stop can help also.
