offered here is a prewar schwinn brake handle-curved version. as near as i can figure it would be schwinn part number 5595 but with a suffix (a) maybe. i saw it once in an update to the 1940 parts catalog update page-only one i ever saw-doubt many added it to the catalog as i have had a dozen of those catalogs and never seen another. don't think they made many of those handles as by then they had come out with the thin 40 type handlebar lever. if you are looking at this you know how rare these are-when was the last time you saw one or saw one offered! has patina throughout handle and mounting base-like rust under the surface of chrome. very complete. if you had a smaller hand-this lever worked better than the more common(but hard to find also) 'web lever'. free shipping-paypal friendly
