Look Ma, No Hands!
Prewar Schwinn Cycle Truck
$800 + shipping
Located in North Dakota - willing to ship!
Here is a prewar Cycle Truck - most that are interested will know what's right and what's not, but I will do my best to state that here:
- Fenders are not original
- Head badge is not original
- Seat is not original
- Grips are not original
As far as I know - all the other parts are original - frame, wheels, fork, stem, handlebars, sprocket.
Pedal crank & pedals - not sure - I'm sure someone knows though!
A long time ago someone blasted the frame and spray painted it blue. Sadly, I'm 99% sure there is no original paint underneath.
High point - the metal on the frame and fork is as solid as you'll find anywhere. Almost zero pitting to work if you are going to restore/repaint. The sign plate is beat a bit - I would suggest getting a new one. Other than that, this would be a breeze to restore!
The tire on the rear is a UniRoyal Chain Tread - some checking but decent condition.
The front tire is an original USA Made Schwinn Typhoon Cord tire.
Please check pictures - let me know if you need any more info or pictures!
I am willing to ship this - it would be cheapest to go through Fastenal - I would recommend that if possible!
Great winterttime project here!
