Had another look today it seems the threads on the original crank from my 51 panther are finer than the threads on the 1936 schwinn dog leg crank. Can anyone help?
No. It was fitted to a 36 Schwinn built Bfg. I assumed it was a Schwinn crank and until this morning it never occurred to me it may have been replaced as well as the coarser 24 tpi. It doesnt have AS on it, just some numbers.
My Schwinn doglegs (39 &41) are both 28tpi. I dont think I have ever ran into a Schwinn that wasnt. I had no idea about 36, or would have said something.
