Riding my Motorbike
offered here is a prewar Schwinn LBA97 model badged as 'Lasalle'-Chicago Cycle Supply. 'L' in front of BA97 denotes locking fork. solid rider-just serviced completely(wheel hubs-bottom bracket-headset-pedals) new tubes and tires. a.s. razor stem-torrington bars-miller deluxe stand(curved version)-1 3/4" stimsonite/schwinn script reflector-diamond 1/2" pitch chain(very nice-still has good color)-wide fenders have been rolled. has hard to find hockey guard for a curved frame-rare! paint shows wear throughout bike-stripping weak in many areas-see pictures for details. paint pattern is earlier style with no tip on rear and front fender stripes curve in at front-usually a '37 thing. serial is 38 though(if you trust those chart numbers!). locking front fork with a.s. key but not matched number to tumbler-but works well! new departure hubs front/rear(rear hub has 20tooth). blue/ivory paint is nice change from mostly all black bikes being offered. as it sits a very correct looking bike with correct period parts but has wear-at rider quality level. solid smooth.
terms of sale etc! no shipping-but can deliver to the turlock swap this weekend(saturday only). this after payment by paypal. maybe a friend is going to this swap and can bring back for you. alternative sale-offered at 1800 as you see it. will sell without guard for 1600. study pictures-ask questions-thanks for looking.
