Just Jeff

Wore out three sets of tires already!
Because I don’t have enough going on with my current projects, I decided on a whim that I need a prewar Schwinn project. 1936 Cycleplane to be exact. I bought the frame/locking truss fork from a fellow CABER and it will be here soon. So, as luck would have it, I have what should be the correct badge for it. I’ve owned the badge for several years now.
I’ll post more pictures when I get the frame and fork, but for now, here is my starting point. The badge...

My frame and fork came in today. I’ll put the badge on and then the project gets put away while I search for the rest of the parts. This one will get restored and is going to be a long term project. I’ll only be working on it sporadically when I find new parts.

Fenders are on the way to me, but they need fender braces and some bodywork.

I’ll add new posts as I get more parts and get some work done to it.

Was at the LB Cycle swap meet today, and found a chainring for the Cycleplane. Also found a nice accessory for it. Matching paint girls frame (La Salle)

Cleaned the white paint off my girls frame today. And put a head tube badge back on it too.
Then both bikes go back into storage until I find enough parts to assemble them

Thanks. I can’t take much credit for the badge. A friend gave me the badge in trade years ago. And he is the responsible party for the color and patina. It will finally have a good home on the Cycleplane when it gets going
