as you can see there was another bid-there could have easily been more-many more bids-but the price i had in mind was met and i am not for jacking up the price or squeezing the last drop of juice out of the lemon just because its on the dond forum!

I don't know the full rules of DOND but it would seem like a bid has to stand for a set amount of time before it can be accepted to allow others to actually see it and bid on top of it if they want. Live auctions and feebay are much the same ("$650 going once...$650 going twice...Sold"). @cyclingday Marty it looked like you were only 15-20mins behind the other guy.
