Finally riding a big boys bike
Up for sale is a 1938 Elgin Bluebird. This bike was restored a few years ago (not by me) and has signs of wear from the various owners who have taken it on cruises. This bike is one of twenty or so 38 Bluebirds currently accounted for. One of the smoothest riding bikes I have ever owned. I am only selling as I found a classic car that I want to purchase. The bike shows well, but does have various scrapes on the paint. (see photos). The headlight lens is damaged, as it has a small hole in the side. One can either find a replacement or ride it as is like I did. The chainguard is a metal reproduction that has been painted to match the bike. Both hubs have been rebuilt, however it takes a long time for the coaster brake to stop the bike. I have a color matching pouch that goes with the bike as well. I also have the additional chainguard mount for the chainguard (mounts to the two parallel holes in the guard), but it is not a painted so I decided to leave it off. The seat shows signs of age, as it is cracked and dry, whoever it is an original Elgin bluebird seat. I can take more photos of whatever is desired on the bike, and can do a video walk around on the bike with the buyer if desired as well. The bike is located in St Louis Missouri. I can ship the bike anywhere in the lower 48 states and I will not ship international. I am willing to drive up to 200ish miles for a pickup/dropoff if one prefers not to ship. I have paypal for payment. Buyer pays fees if paying by goods/services or one can send the money friends and family.
Sold $xxxx USD. Buyer pays shipping.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. This is a real deal bluebird and would look great in any collection.
These bikes do not come up for sale often, don't miss this opportunity.
