Primer Color Question

On let’s say a 1956 Tiger frame, what would be the correct primer color?

Depends on the color painted... seems grey was used mostly.

Schwinn generally used red oxide. V/r Shawn

Red oxide is what Schwinn used. If it was a solid color paint the paint was shot over the primer. If it was a 1956 and up Opal, Radiant, Flamboyant and later candy color a silver base was shot over the red oxide primer and then the color coat.
