So I started working on this bike tonight because I’m a masochist. The headset is in surpriseingly good shape! I have to let the screw style master link soak more before I can get the chain off. Does anyone have any idea about who manufactured it or when?
Figure out exactly what the head badge says and start googling. Also put all the info on this thread and you will probably get more help. I have looked , but I am not 100% on all the correct info on the badge.
I used to own this Princeton motobike, posting pics for your reference. It was early in my bike hobby days and I didn't even record the serial # when I owned it. My notes say “D.P. Harris built Princeton (Rollfast?)”
This bike had lots of non-original parts btw but maybe someone here knows if that’s a Rollfast stem, I think it was.
I can't say for absolute sure but certain features look to me like Crown Bicycles/Great Western Manufacturing Company - La Port, Indiana
I'm sure someone on the CABE can positively identify it.
Looks like it took quite a hit to the head, but nice bike just the same.
