What kind of hub is this?

Is it 28" wheels? It's probably a 1934, or before. That saddle is not correct. It should have a long spring saddle.

Look in the headtube and bottom bracket for clues on the original color. I would guess you'll find some blue in there. ;)cool badge.

Yes, Princeton was a Snyder badge.

DPH is D.P. Harris, maker of Rollfast and partner with Snyder who produced many of their bikes for them.

Chances are it was probably red but somebody did a really good job of destroying the evidence.

There isn't much in the way of serial number information to tell you anything, not for Rollfast/D.P. Harris unfortunately.

My 50s middleweight Tempest had so many layers of paint including grey that even the headbadge lost it's color and I went custom.

Oh my gosh!!!! You have the twin to my Hawthorne DeLuxe!!!! The frame construction is the same (note especially the way the tubes are welded in the vicinity of the crank) and even the same color! I'm betting that the reason why you have blue and white paint is the same as mine - the accents on the head tube were painted white over the first layer, blue.
