Put 13 bikes in storage today, kept out an odd one.

I kept this odd one in the garage, I still have more parts that need a home. The garden bike, the 80s cruiser, this one is odd, its a home made belt drive( I'm pretty sure ) I just have to figure out what to do with it. I tried to sell it at 2 swapmeets but no luck. Not even sure who made a Mercury bike. Seeing someone already ruined it, maybe I can make it look better. It's already a rider it just needs a dress up.

The last pictures look like a pre war Murray bicycle, with curved seat tube, similar to some sold with Sears Elgin badges.

How well does the belt system ride? I thought about converting a modern bike to use a serpentine belt setup. I haven't planned it out yet but I think a downward tensioner to keep slippage minimal would be needed.

It's sad they took such a nice looking bike to use but I have a little interest on Mercury frames.

That Mercury is super cool, I love that head badge! Mercury was responsible for some neat bikes such as the pacemaker. That frame resembles the long tank I'm currently putting together.
