Question for Tandem riders

Recently finished overhauling a 1978 Schwinn Twinn. Tried to ride it with the wife and we were just throwing each other’s balance off. One wanted to pedal and the other wanted to stop. It certainly wasn’t a pleasant experience. Is this normal and just have to grow into it?

Yes , Grasshopper................One must be in Unison with Other.................when this is achieved you may leave the Temple !! all joking aside just spend some time getting used to it. I had a friend who was VERY unstable ( Shaking and wobbling all over ) I asked her to RELAX - next thing you know - She's in control . You'll get it . DON'T GIVE UP , that's a cool bike ! Just a thought - Try having Her up front - see how that goes

All kidding aside, tandoms can be fun, especially if it's a rear stear and riding solo! Main thing that sucks about them is storing them as they take up lots of real estate!!!
