HARPO
Cruisin' on my Bluebird
I picked this one up late yesterday afternoon fro a guy that only bought and rode English bicycles. He kept them pretty clean, as you can see, which will make my job that much easier. I used a brass brush quickly in a very bad looking area on one of the rims that I figured was toast (AFTER I took these photos)...but typical early English chrome, it came right off!
He also gave me a 26'' wheel with a Dynohub on it with petrified tires. He said he didn't need it, and figured maybe somewhere down the line I could use it. Very nice gentleman (72 year old retired school teacher he told me). I have a rear rack for it, so that will be added when I get around to doing the bike.
Anyone have an idea as to the year? I figure late 60's due to the decals and brake levers. Chain guard should be a giveaway, but I can't find the same one in a Catalog.
In the meantime, enjoy the photos!
