Cruisin' on my Bluebird
Here are some rare chains I have for sale.
These Ewart detachable link chains are of the "first pattern" where the “frame” and “block” are made in one piece and hook together to the next link.
These chains are rusty “as found” but could be sand blasted to clean them up to complete your project.
1st photo shows one early riveted solid block chain and three "first pattern" Ewart detachable link chains.
Photos #2, #3, #4 show a short length of figure 8 one inch pitch riveted block chain which is now SOLD.
5th photo is of an Ewart detachable link chain 1 5/8” pitch and .816” width between the open frame portion. 7 links total. $50 plus shipping
6th photo is of an Ewart detachable link chain for bicycle or adult high wheel tricycle chain 1 3/16” pitch and .565” width between the open frame portion. 13 links total. $100 plus shipping
7th and 8th photos are of an Ewart detachable link bicycle chain 15/16” pitch (Columbia proprietary pitch) and .426” width between the open frame portion. 32 links total. This type chain was used on the first Columbia hard tire safety of 1888 called the Veloce. $200 plus shipping
