Can someone tell me the diameter of the metal wire/rod used in this rear carrier? Pic of rack/carrier below.
I am going to guess the 2 outside rails are 1/4 or 5/16 rod and the inner is 3/16 or 7/32? I am going to make one and trying to copy the original as best as I can.
I am a hobby welder and have both a gas mig and oxy acetylene torch set up. Get metal hot enough and it will bend like spaghetti. 😄
The only issue will be finish. My powder coat oven may not be big enough so I may just do an aged and weathered silver paint scheme. My typhoon is a daily rider. Nothing special.
