Hi all, workin on chrome 1985 Ross Mt. Hood. Noticed rear dropout has screws both sides. What's the function? Google has pics of other Mt. Hoods with this feature so thinking it mfg this way.
DROPOUT ADJUSTERS ....Wheel limit screws -your hub axle rests against these -assures accurate placement of the rear wheel -to prevent rear wheel from being inserted into your frame and wheel being 'cocked' to one side ....rear wheel needs to be accurately 'dished' for these to actually be useful
