Finally riding a big boys bike
Tore apart my first two speed kickback hub tonight (red band)...a little intimidating but I made sure to take pictures along the way and I also have the assembly drawing. One question though...it looks like there are two different kinds of grease in the hub. Is this the case? The plates have a white grease while everything else has the typical redish brown grease. I remember a recent post and I thought it said to use a thin oil on the plates and grease everything else.

Thanks for the help as always.

The last rebuilder had his own personel choice of lubricants is probably why. It is kind of like Penzoil versus Amzoil. Both are good but some people like one more than the other or a combination of the two. Hopefully the hub has been rebuilt before in the last 50 years. Roger
