Velocipedist Co.

I live for the CABE
I took my 8 yr old daughter to the bmx track yesterday, and now she’s hooked. She expects me to take her back for more practice later this week!
I’d like to find a junior size bike to replace her hot pink 30lb. Walmart brand but know almost nothing about the sport. I have an admitted inclination toward vintage equipment, but understand there is currently a high collector demand for early bmx.
What should I be shopping for as a starter? Should I avoid earlier bikes with any retro value, and just stick with something new? I’d like to find a suitable bike before next week so any help is appreciated.

thanks!

Find the local shop in your area that caters to the youth BMX market.
There’s a shop in Orange, California called Pedal Alley.
It looks like they have just about something for everybody, from the basic starter, to the full on trick and gorgeous.
