Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Here is a rechromed wheel set with more modern spokes and nipples. Plating
on one wheel is excellent, the other has some peppering showing, not bad but
some areas exposed to weather maybe. 1941 Schwinn style and early postwar.
Front drum brake is untested but does come with the extremely hard to find
"slotted" fork clamp for the pork chop. Chrome on the front hi-lo Sturmey Archer
hub is pretty good, some minor peppering, should all clean up very nicely!
Rear brake looks to be a restored NEW DEPARTURE Model D
but the hub shell is not marked that way, arm is and hardware all look ND including
ND logo brake arm, 1 inch pitch cog on board. I can throw in an "ND" shell with the set.
Someone spent some time and money plating and building these. Killer Klunker
era style type wheel set built up with prewar rims! ...
Tire are new FAKE Goodyear Double Eagle tread looking Chinese made mainstream modern bike shop fodder
