Much better than average original chrome finish still left on this Rollfast Deluxe Swan stem . This was sold aftermarket and also often found as original equipment on many bicycles including pre-war Schwinn, Rollfast & Snyder built bikes. It does have a few small spots where the chrome has come off which you see in the pictures but generally speaking it's gorgeous.
