It's that time of year again....every September we ride Monterey and this year is no different. So.... September 23rd we will meet up at 10am and leave by 11am. We meet up at Seaside beach which is right next to the Monterey Tides hotel. There is a parking lot on both sides of the hotel. We meet up at The lower one. First stop is Dust Bowl Brewing for a refreshment or two. From there we hit Cannery row for lunch. After that we continue on to Lovers Point... then turn around and head back. It's a slow paced very casual ride with not too many miles like our other rides but the views make up for it. So... see you there September 23rd at Seaside Beach. Chime in if you're coming out.

Also.... September 23rd is also the Stroll and Roll in Niles Canyon which we did last year and it was a blast but... the group voted for Monterey instead. This was the only weekend I had free. Sorry gang.

Here is a shot from 2017 on the ride....

there will be at least 1 vintage bike at the Niles Stroll and Roll. :)

Next year I'll plan better. Sorry. I'm torn between the hot rod car world I work in and bikes. Work holds precedence. We have to travel to attend shows and help set up, show the cars, etc. We have two cars being featured at SEMA this year as well as a 1940 Ford truck that will be in Pomona this weekend at the truck show at the fairgrounds.

It's extremely tough to avoid everything. Bike shows, bike swaps, bike rides,.....
Car shows, car swap meets,.....
Truck shows, .........
And now..... we are getting into vintage trailers..... a whole other world I don't need to spread myself in.

If you didn't make the ride today... you missed out. It couldn't have been any better. I want to thank everyone for coming out. It was a perfect day. The weather was spot on. Beautiful day. Tons of laughs were had with my Rolling Relics family. Lots of familiar faces as well as some new ones which were great to meet the newbies. Very tight knit family and an overall great time. I didn't take many photos so some of these are borrowed from my good friend Danny. Anyways, see you crazy kids on the next one.

A few pics from my perspective. A little fog early, then cleared off quickly. Absolutely beautiful day with some totally amazing people. Thankfully all went smoothly except for one naughty stem bolt….again! @slick The magic stack of washers saves the day! Hooray!
Otherwise a very flat easy going ride. If you haven’t been out you should! Great sights, food, and refreshments! Can’t wait till next year!!! To borrow a quote from Frank. “Ridden not Hidden.”….for life!
