Finished painting today and disassembled most of the bike. Definitely needs the bearings repacked and the basics done. Although its a womens frame, I didnt want the color to be too feminine so I did a black metallic base then Duplicolor Bahama Blue (GM) lightly overtop. Did that 4 or 5 times and after some sanding finished with a very interesting clearc coat. Not sure if you'd call it glitter or what but it really does a number on the metal in the sun. Outcome is a sort of glittery midnight blue I suppose.

Looking good Evil. That color really pops. Keep up the great work. Mark.

Tonight I was able to polish one of the wheels. I'm very happy to aee they're both in great shape. Its rare I get nice tires and wheels handed to me like this. And since I liked it so much on the Cosmic Flyer build, I decided to match the seat frame color to the bike. Its a great detail I wish more deluxe bicycles had back in the 60's.

Got a good bit done today. Finished the seat and it came out better than I hoped. The rear wheel looks great from 3 feet away but I just cant get all the deep scuff marks out from the steel wool somebody used on it. We'll just call that one good for now. Hub still needs grease but that'll all be done at once with everything else that needs it.

Couple front fork components got polished and rust removed as well as color matched the painted section of the lower forks.

I am half tempted to color match the center of the Turbo Defragulator. Whats your thoughts on that? It would look great but once I do it thats it for the original red paint. I do have 2 spares in great condition though.

Last night I had to make a make a decision and decided to swap some of the better chrome parts from one bike to the other one with the good chrome frame. I dont have the time over the next few weeks to finish sanding and polishing the bad frame and I need the space on my motorcycle lift. I put the ole girl 90% together last night and aside from the headlight cover, front axle nuts, and rear fender shes together.

Looking good Evil. Is that a 1964 Ford Galaxie grill in the back ground. Keep up the good work. Mark.

I just could not help myself from not weighing in on this thread. TOC, Pre-War, Post War, etc, etc.. This is just purely the love, appreciation and conservation of all bicycles we all love and appreciate. Just sayen..
Thank you for sharing...!

I appreciate the interest and valuable info I've gotten the last few months.

And just a heads up, I decided I'm going to part out the spare bike since I don't see a real plethra of mid 60's Spaceliner parts available for sale. Hopefully this bike can help someone else down the line. I will post an ad on ebay and here as well ofcourse.

I could use a tank if your spares bike has one. Also in need of the sprocket center cover. Mark.
