Finally riding a big boys bike
It never ceases to amaze me the ignorance of some people selling things. I messaged a guy this morning to see if they traveled to my area, since they were a 2 hour drive for me, and this is the response I got from him just for asking a question. He then blocked me from replying back..........LOL

He’s more interested in being clever than selling!

Yes, the guy was a MASSHOLE.................LOL
Maybe not? But don’t let facts get in the way of your narrative.

Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
So..to bump this thread with a feel good story (for me) and to make the point of asking "Do you deliver?" or "Do you ever come in this direction?" is >> ALWAYS WORTH IT!! <<
Some of you might know this bike from my post in the Sunday Show and Tell thread, this Rollfast V70 from NJ
I talked back and forth with the seller (A really nice lady who does clean outs/antiques) and she made me an "offer" to deliver it..
Deal DONE ! the added cost was almost the same cost as shipping it! but it showed up in perfect fully assembled condition..And..an almost 3 hour drive on a summer weekend for me mostly rt 95? 🧐😐No thank you..... so a win/win and proves the old adage "Dont know if you dont ask"

Look Ma, No Hands!
I've made reasonable offers on a few bikes (such as $20 less on a $200+ bike, not lowball half price offers) and instead of politely declining, people fly off the handle and I get a five minute dissertation on how the bike is worth $2,000 in parts on Ebay (hmm...for a coaster brake K-mart special from the '70s?) if they wanted to take the time to part it out. Mmmkay...calm down there buddy.

We’ve all had these encounters. I know I have. I used to get worked up about it, then figured that’s what those type of people like..they win if you carry it with you. I’m no pushover but sometimes you gotta just ignore the bad and appreciate the good. For every terrible seller, buyer, flipper, collector and tire kicker out there, there are 100 who get it right. And one more note, maybe some day with future technology it will be the guy who insists on texting that becomes the old fart🤔
