ebay now....

Found in a recent collection of misc Schwinn Stingray parts.
Consensus is a legit Sissy bar unusual design harkening back to the
early mid -60s bars, only standard size, not high, loop. Unusual
regardless...Not sure when these were 1st offered? But members
below found a 1980 catalog reference.

Found in a recent collection of misc Schwinn Stingray parts. Most high loops I have seen
are stamped Persons etc.. Even the reproduction that was produced some years back have
the Persons logo. This one does not. Not sure if it's a super early example or what the deal is?

Could you get a measurement from seat mount hole to top of the loop? It should be almost 6", yours looks shorter. They made the same axle mount bar without the high loop I do not know what they were issued on.

Don't think that's a Schwinn/Persons High Loop or even a Reproduction of a High Loop. It looks to be some aftermarket sissy bar. 🤔

I would agree with Tom @Hoagie57
It doesn’t look like a high loop. That almost looks like the low loop (standard) replacement seat strut with the axel mount that was offered by Schwinn. Weird that is has no stamp.

I also have one of those unmarked seat braces and one that is marked with the Schwinn Part no. 8571, standard seat brace, they appear to be identical. Maybe a later stamping, I've provided 1980 Schwinn Parts Catalog info.

Might roll this one over to Ebay unless someone shoots a good offer?
Unusual Parts offering and probably fairly scarce
