Without pictures it's just impossible to throw values around. Post a few when you can.

Condition and equipment can cause a huge swing in value. Do they have the original seats? What about front drum brakes? Racks? Missing or incorrect parts can shift value 500 up or down easily. For riders, you paid good money on both, not too high, not too low. In So Cal, 1000 is pretty fair for a complete og, parts can raise that...the restored bike is tough, if you really like it, then it is perfect, resale value tends to fluctuate wildly. In the future, there are a lot of bikes already in So Cal and you might have found something local and save $$ on shipping...

Thanks for the advice, yeah I own't ship again, definitely going to only look local going forward. I guess the totally restored one is worth less even though it's a cool bike. Probably more for a show window. I just want to ride it not trying to get to serious about 3 or four phantoms. Sounds like the restored one is closer to 1100 but again all good.

Picked this one, It looks to be pretty original except for seat and missing rear reflector

Looks like its missing both tailight and reflector. Can we see a better pic of the badge? V/r Shawn

Restored usually is a disaster when a non bike person 'RESTORES" a bike.Usually loaded with incorrect parts and rattle can painted. Post pics of the bikes and some Schwinn guys can tell ya a lot of info.
