Schwinn Corvette 55 comments and concerns

The frame is stamped 55 just looking for thoughts comments and concerns. Im not selling the bike.

My first thought was that the seat is wrong for a 1955, but your serial number is listed as September 1, so depending on when the bike was actually built it may be right after all. Looks good either way!

Pretty decent Corvette. I'm all in for a 56 model with that seat and carrier, even considering the date stamping of the serial number. Three month gap between the serial stamping date and build date is fairly common on the Schwinns wearing a date stamped head badge.

I am still not sure why I come and look at these bikes online. This is a beautiful bike. I love it. I admit I have a problem with lusting after bikes. I may need some counseling.
