is this a newer nondesireable crusier,has a thunb shifter,there are bolts by the rear axle that look like they were just taken off and scrwedback on as the paint is clean around the bolt heads,maby had fenders?guy keeps changing his price been on quire awhile

Yes, it's a newer/later model. but why would you say undesirable? From the looks of it I'd think it's been around and about a while and therefore, not a piece of crap or whatever.

But not 'old school'/vintage-antique maybe. Did you get a look at who made the derailleur/which model, check it out physically?

If you want it as a rider, give him a firm offer. If they continue to fish around, ask them what they really needed the money for and work from there. If it ain't happening, it ain't happening. People do this on eBay and unfortunately it's worked it's way down to Craigslist.

Could have been fenders but when I got my Cruiser 5 a few years ago, it came with a nice solid rack that bolted to those holes. If you're interested, I'll send you a PM with a picture. That's pretty much the same frame that the balloon bikes from the 50's was built on and in the day, those holes were the fender brace holes.

For grins, I mounted all the old 50's era stuff to my Cruiser 5. I really like riding this bike - even before I added the fenders, et al.
