Schwinn Dx Year?

Can anyone help nail down the year on this Ace-badged DX? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

With Schwinn499's findings and the H Serial Number info on the list, I'd say it's a 41.

Could be a 40, fenders look a little different than mine.

Isn't deep fenders a 41 thing?

How much deeper?

How can you tell by sight?

Would the aluminum chain guard be original to this bike? You cannot see it very well in the photo, but the pin stripes in the groves of the chain guard matches the maroon paint color of the bike.

I'm going with '41 and I believe the chrome guard could be original to the bike as I've seen a few '41 DX with this same guard. V/r Shawn
