Schwinn Excelsior Bike - Age?

Hello! New to this forum, so not sure if there is someplace specific to post...but here goes.

I have an old Schwinn Excelsior bike. It appears to have maybe been repainted (or at least touched up), but is in good condition. There is a serial number on the bottom of the crankcase - G75088 (pic attached). Can anyone help me with dating this bike? And, if in decent condition, is it worth anything?
