Schwinn HELP

A FRIEND HAS A 1946 DX SCHWINN BICYCLE WITH A EXCELSIOR HEAD BADGE
AND HE WANTS AN EXCELSIOR DECAL FOR THE CHAIN GUARD.
I HAVE NOT EVEN FOUND ANOTHER CHAIN GUARD PICTURE WITH THIS FLAT AREA
FOR A DECAL. I KNOW THESE CHAIN GUARDS EXIST, BUT WHAT DECAL MIGHT BE AVAILABLE TO FIT IT?
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

That guard would be incorrect for a 46 model if that makes any difference. That feather guard with a flat section for a decal came out on the 1953 models. It was used on the Hornets, Spitfire and the first year Tornado. Possibly others during this time since Schwinn seemed to equip the bikes with different guards than what was shown in the catalogs.

This was just sold to a member. It was off a 1953.
