Schwinn La Salle Identification Help

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Schwinn La Salle and was hoping to get some help identifying it. The front badge has Chicago Cycle Supply Co. and La Salle written on it. From what I've gathered from my research, the front Androck basket and the metal plate in the middle of the frame were added afterward. From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong), Chicago Cycle Supply had this bike made by Schwinn and then put their own name on it, likely in the late 30's. The bike is very rusty and been painted over, but I can make out that some text was on that metal plate so I'm assuming it was used for some advertisement at some point. I can't see a serial number anywhere because of the paint. The front tire is Kelly Springfield Road Trac and the back is Goodyear. Would appreciate any help in identifying this bike and maybe where the serial number would be.

Someone added the badge by drilling a hole in the middle and riveting it on. Originally the badge would have been mounted with screws at the top and bottom, with no center hole.

No, the metal plate was added, probably for advertising. It looks like it may have been used as some type of delivery bike, with the basket and a sign.

Thanks for the help! Would the best course of action to identify it more precisely be to try and find the serial number?

A real mix of parts, only thing for sure Columbia frame, Schwinn sprocket, middle weight seat & 70's pedals. That handle bar patch is classic, I wouldn't want to trust that going at speed!, oh ya serial # probably on the rear dropout.
