Finally riding a big boys bike
I had this 26” 50s Schwinn meteor a couple years back and I got rid of it but it just dawned on me that I’ve never seen another one since. Anyone know if they are particular rare bikes? I kinda regret getting rid of it to be honest lol

Actually it was only produced 1 or 2 years. The bike itself is exactly like many other '53 cantilevers from Schwinn but the Meteor Name was short lived. There for maybe rare but not so desirable.

The Meteor was a one year only "name" so that's why you don't see many. The model number was B-12 in the late 40's and from 1952 and back, it never had an actual name. In 1954 the name Meteor was discontinued, but the bike lived on with its new name thru 1964 when the Wasp, Meteor, B-12 was finally discontinued completely.
