Cruisin' on my 1897 Comet
When were the Schwinn New World and Schwinn Paramount manufactured? (first year , last year for each models)

I might be off a year but have seen 1938 Paramounts and New Worlds. They might be 1939 models. Go to Waterford Precision Bikes site they are what is still Paramount and still partly owned by Richard Schwinn. On the site they have section on old bikes. Richard will also research a bike if you have a serial number for a price. His time is worth money. Roger

great website dedicated to the pre-war Paramount and New World racers
1938 seems to be the first year for the Paramount and 1940 for the New World Racer up to 1941for both ..... then production stopped for the war and had trouble getting it started back up after the war.
1938-1941 ..... only 900 racers were produced by Schwinn.
This is probably why so little information is available and so few bicycles are around.
