Schwinn or No Schwinn? That is the question.

This weekend I will be running up to the cities and pick up this here bicycle from a friend who gave me a stellar deal because I wasn't going to paint over the original paint like another one of his buddies wanted to do but we both don't know what it is but feeling like its a Schwinn because of the hearts on the chainring but did read people do switch those out later down the road if it isn't a Schwinn. Headbadge isn't present. S/N i will post once I get it in my hands but wanted to see others thoughts in the mean time.

That's good news. Once I get the serial number is there still data to pin point the exact year?
