offered here is a schwinn true razor stem. patent was pulled on these in june 1936! the term/nickname 'razor' was coined many years ago by the c.a.b.e.'s own bob ujszaszi/bobcycles! these are bronze casting and then plated. the crisp edges of the stems bridge design got it the name. notice the distinctive 'V' in the casting above the pinch bolt. these were the answer to the troublesome torrington pot-metal stem being used on the motorbikes at the time. this was a warranty nightmare for the schwinn dealers as the potmetal stems broke easily. at the time this stem came out it was perhaps the most beautiful stem around! this stem is lightly patina'd-light wear to finish. pinch bolt has small area of patina. has correct aluminum wedge. great looking stem for your prewar schwinn. free shipping
