Look Ma, No Hands!
So here's the stupid question of the day. I am collecting and assembling bits on a 40's Schwinn balloon tyre bike (my first bicycle project). Now that I've got a front fender on it, the springer rebuilt and fitted and added a speedo drive, I've run out of axle width. The front hub is a schwinn with pork chop brake. Do these axles come in different widths? The existing one is 5 1/2 inches. Do they feature the infamous New Departure 'odd pitch' nuts?
