Bike Recyclery

Look Ma, No Hands!
This is a complete set of the famous black binder Schwinn Service Manuals, volumes one and two. The two combine for 956 total pages, and cover every single aspect of bicycle mechanic service and technical details for all models available in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

Much of this is related to components from other manufacturers such as Sturmey Archer, Suntour, Shimano, Bendix, Campagnolo, Tuff Wheels, Air-Dyne, and Huret, making this a worthy bicycle mechanic reference for non-Schwinn bicycles as well.

As a bonus, this comes with a carbon copy two sheet "Registration Certificate". Apparently this pro Schwinn dealer version of these binders were loaned to bike shops! At the end of the photos is an advertisement for the consumer version of these manuals, which have the more detailed binders which say Schwinn Bicycle Service Manual in bold face on the front (this ad is not included, but was photographed from our Dealer Sales Manual)

Volume one focuses on every possible hub setup that was used on the various models from the Stingray's Bendix hubs to Campagnolo high flange of the Paramount down to Schwinn hubs on the Varsitiy.

Volume two expands to all other aspects of the bicycle. Tires/rims, drivetrains, brake calipers, headsets, etc, as well as assembly info.

*All of these collectibles came from a closed Schwinn dealer called Kings Cyclery in Casper, Wyoming that I bought out. Everything was ordered directly from the Schwinn factory.

Condition

Near mint! The pages are all clean, untorn, with smooth crisp edges and can be considered nearly pristine (there may be a stray tech detail written on a page or two, but not many). Binders are in excellent shape, with just very slight edge and cover wear.
