No shipping. Local pickup in Roseville, California only
Desirable, first year "Shorty" 20" 1963 Schwinn Stingray.
This bike is not 100% original.
I will be taking this 1963 Schwinn Stingray to the JAF/CO swapmeet on 10/12/2024 in Stockton, California.
I added parts to an H3 frame to assemble a nice solid rider, perfect to ride around car shows and swap-meets.
This is a solid bike with no issues at a great price.
Serial number starts with H3.
Fork is stamped 2-5 with a reverse headset.
Handlebars are not stamped.
Frame down tube has a decal from San Carlos, California.
There is some red spray paint (overspray) on the down tube near the sticker. I did not want to take a chance of damaging the original paint so I did not clean that area.
Original material solo polo seat with some rips and tears. Seat pan is solid with no rust.
Original paint on the frame. This original paint chain guard came off a red Junior. The screening has been professionally painted on. If you look really close you can see ghosting of "Junior", I'm talking really close. This chain guard overall looks great!
1963 dated crank.
Nice clean OEM chain.
Original chrome side stamped S2 36 spoke back wheel. I acquired a hoop and had a local bike shop professionally lace this wheel with new spokes.
Original chrome S7 front center stamped rim with some chrome loss.
USA Tires.
Correct no crimp axle mount strut stamped Persons USA.
1963 polished full size pedals where the end caps are still visible.
3 notch cam has been installed with this kickstand. This bike stands tall, no leaning here!
Clean California frame, no rust here.
The frame is structurally sound.
This bike is ready to roll!!
